    Passport No. 606, dated November 13, 1906.

    Jozef Wladyslaw Zarachowicz (Osip Vladyslavov Zarakhovich in Russian), born in 1888, Roman Catholic, single - peasant of the Grodno province, Białystok District  (Belostochansk), village of Bacieczki (Batsechki in Russian), was dismissed to work in various cities and towns of the Russian Empire from November 13, 1906, to November 13, 1907.

    Zarakhovich O.V. was subject to conscription for military service in 1909.

    Bialystok (Belostochansk volost in Russian) foreman issued the passport.

    Signature; seal.

    You will find Bacieczki near Bialystok using kami.net.pl/kresy The Roman-Catholic Parish for Bacieczki is listed as Białystok. This document is in Russian.

    Hi Maria,

    Thank you for the translation of Jozef Zarachowicz's passport. This was one of a few documents that my husband's grandfather had in his possession. It is nice to know what information was contained on it. It is also interesting to see the variation of his name in Russian. I have taken a quick look at kami.net.pl/kresy and hope to have more time in the next couple of days to research this site further. Information on Knyszyn is also on this website. That is where my husband's grandmother was born.
