Thank you for the correction, Cousin Vinny, that's right - I mixed the dates when wrote the e-mail. 1965 was actually the birth date of his son Primo Pavarini, according to a baptism certificate picture I found. Pietro was obviously born earlier indeed. You're also right on the estimated date of 1842, since the immigration document of 1889 mentions he was 47 years old when arrived.

Any guidance you could provide on reaching out to churches? In your experience, do they typically have an online channel? e-mail? or should I try to find a phone line? Just trying to get some direction, as my attempts so far hasn't been successful.
