Help finding Baptismal Record 1863-1864
It has been a while since I searched the catalogue and apparently my skills are rusty. I found a reference to a baptism on My Heritage and I would like to review the original record, but so far none of my searches have been successful. I am looking for the baptism of Friedrich Plischke (sometimes spelled Pluschke), born (according to American records) 25 December 1863. He was baptized in 1864 in Christburg, West Prussia. His parents were Michael Plischke and Rosalia Nadratowska. I have access to a FamilySearch Center, but I was hoping to find the source before I visit the center. I have found records for this family in both Lutheran and Catholic films so I have searched both. Thank you for any help you can provide.

Thank you for your response. I will definitely refer to that site.
Out of curiosity, though, when I looked up Christburg on the Internet I saw that it was a municipality of Kreis Stuhm. I thought that I might find my family in church books for West Prussia/Stuhm. My searches came up empty…although I am the first to admit that I am geographically challenged when it comes to genealogical research in this part of the world.

To validate the location on the map, you may try meyersgaz.com enter Christburg select then click on Map, you will have German location of Christburg, click on Toggle Historical Map and you find the Polish version of Christburg on Polish Map, which is Dzierzgon. There is another Christburg in East Prussia, but yours is in West Prussia. Metryki.genbaza.pl operate on donations there is no subscription fee and you do not need to sign in.
