Eodem (= 25 Sep 1670)
Kind: Veroneck
Elteren: Hannß Heinrich Häberlig zu Bickw(il) / Veroneck Gutin
Zeügen: M(eister?) Hannß Heinrich Müller zu Rickenb(ach) / Thrina Wÿdlerin
There is also the name Schneeweli mentioned - which I cannot interpret - does it belong to HH Müller or Thrina Wÿdlerin or neither?
BTW - there are a few typos in your blog: Veronica Häberling (Vernoica on her birth and death records) married Jakob Sidler 6 December 1890. At least in her baptismal record she is named Veroneck - and she got married 09 Dec 1690.

Thanks for the translation/corrections. Duly noted and added to the blog. I have not heard the name Schneeweli before and it is not found on my blog. The name is found in the 1600s in Ottenbach but FS doesn't have much after that in Ottenbach. All the best, Kent

Schneeweli is an old spelling variation of Schneebeli.

I had another look at this entry: from the context the Schneeweli only makes sense as a location. Rickenbach (in this context) will be the hamlet Rickenbach, part of Ottenbach. Schneeweli/Schneebeli have been citizens of Ottenbach since before 1800: was there a Schneeweli farm (or the like) in Rickenbach?
Mühlen in Ottenbach: 1667 Hans Schneebeli heiratet in 2. ehe Elsbeth Stolz des Pfarrers Max Stolz v. Affoltern. Kaufbrief 2. Januar 1668: Jagli Frey Müller zu Rickenbach hat hans Schneewely dem Müller daselbst zu kaufen gäben den ganzen gewerb wie er im 42. und 43. blatt dieses buches beschrieben. Dermalen steht daruf 3783 fl sh (Gulden, Schilling) Kaufsumme 6050 fl … Is the surname used to define a location, the mill and surroundings?
About this situation I have posted a question to Geneal-Forum.

I have not heard of the hamlet Rickenbach or Schneeweli. Having spent a few days in Ottenbach, I am surprised there is such a place. Ottenbach is small itself. However I'm sure there could be a hamlet nearby. Thanks for posing the question on the Forum! Thanks, Kent

On Geneal-Forum I have posted a small map showing Rickenbach. Schneeweli will not be another hamlet - more likely a house name, possibly the mill in Rickenbach. Details see Geneal-Forum.

Interesting, when we visited Ottenbach there was a mill on one of the two main streets:
From 1645 onwards, the millers of Ottenbach and Rickenbach used in addition to the ditches in the village the water of the river Reuss to grind the grain, because those did not supply enough water during the summer months. In 1833, the Canton of Zürich granted the license to use the water to operate a grain mill. In 1836 the miller Jakob Beerli built a canal with a dam in order to bring the water of the Reuss to the millwheel in a more regulated manner.
Interesting investigation. KG

Following my post on Geneal-Forum I received a suggestion from (name removed) (by Mail) - the "Schneeweli" should not be a continuation of the line above, but an insertion - see Geneal-Forum: the correct interpretation would then be "M(eister) Hans Heinrich Schneeweli, Müller zu Rickenbach".

That makes a lot of sense. Thanks to (name removed)! I tried to find him on FS without success. Too many of them in the area. Thanks, Kent
