She is on her tree and in the administrator's tree, but can't be found? It says to ask the admin for help and that it would send me a chat. I haven't seen a chat and find only messages that two folks want to join, duplicates of emails I received. I had already approved both and they are shown as members of the group.

So, how do folks use the tree once they've been approved?

@Jim Hunt If the system cannot match her with her profile in the Family Group Tree, check what was entered for her Family Group Tree profile against what she has entered in her FamilySearch > Settings. Check for married surname vs. maiden surname. Check the birthdate.

Note that minors (under-18) currently do not have access to the FamilySearch Chat, so she if she is a minor, she will not be able to contact you through the chat. This is an issue that we are working to resolve right now. Also, if she doesn't have a birth date set in her FamilySearch > Settings, she will be treated as under-18.

Try these items and let me know if she is still have trouble viewing the Family Group Tree.

As for using the tree; once they been accepted into the Family Group, group members do just as you do. From the Family Group Details page, click on the Tree button.

What can they do in this Family Group Tree? They can share photos and stories about living family members. If you have a photo of a grandchild and grandparent, you can share it here and attach it to both of them, and everyone in the group will be able to see it. If you have a new baby, you can share pictures here and everyone in the group (and no one else) will be able to see them. Using the Together by FamilySearch app, you can share pictures and stories and get notifications right on your mobile device of new postings by any member of the group. The benefit of using these Family Groups as a place to share is that all of these memories are saved permanently on FamilySearch.org and will always be available in your Family Group (even after you die!).
