    Marie,

I did a ChatGPT search on your fertility question and this is what it provided:

"An adopted person can explore several methods to determine if their biological mother used a fertility clinic:

    1. Adoption Records: If accessible, adoption records may contain information about the biological parents, including medical history or circumstances around the adoption, which might hint at the use of a fertility clinic.
    2. Birth Records: Requesting original birth certificates or hospital records (if allowed by law) might provide clues about the circumstances of the birth.
    3. DNA Testing: Taking a DNA test through services like AncestryDNA, 23andMe, or MyHeritage can reveal genetic information, which sometimes indicates whether donor conception was involved if close relatives or half-siblings are found who share only one biological parent.
    4. Contacting the Adoption Agency: Agencies may have non-identifying information about the biological parents, which could include whether a fertility clinic was used.
    5. Contacting Biological Relatives: If the person has identified any biological relatives, they might be able to provide information about whether a fertility clinic was involved.
    6. Legal Channels: In some regions, there may be legal avenues to request more detailed background information under specific circumstances."

    I hope this is helpful.
