Resources Reviewed but Negative Results

As researchers check for information in various records, it would make sense to have a place on the details page where they searched for a specific person and found no positive result. Positive results should be in the source section of the details page. In other words, family historians can see where researchers have already looked for information unsuccessfully and decide if they want to retrace those steps to see if they agree or move on to look for documenting their ancestors in other sources not yet explored. This also will contribute to the assumptions behind the Quality Score, since there will be some record types that will seem the most useful until better info can be found. This should have its own section and not be in facts. Thank you. Denise (last name removed), (location removed)

@DeniseAnne2017 thank you for the feedback. I am just clarifying to make sure I understand what you are asking for…something similar to a research log that shows negative search results? On each person page there is a tab titled collaborate. This is a place for notes, discussions and setting alerts. Is this something that would work? Or are you thinking of an automated recording of searches?
