I do consultations with public users where I am sharing my screen with them. I would like to be able to have the public home page be used in that case. Is there a way to toggle them? If not, may I suggest that you implement a way to toggle the two pages? Thanks.

@jerroleensorensen1 - Thanks for reaching out. There is not currently a plan to provide this toggle. The only way to show the public page versus the member page, is to have two accounts (member, non-member/public) but that can be counterproductive as well. We will pass on your concern/suggestion.

I suspect that this having the new homepage just for members is a very short term situation. All they need to do is finish programming the page to hide certain items on public accounts. From the looks of things, I suspect part of the reason for going to widgets is that it will make the member/public differences easier to manage.

It is already the case that if you go to your settings and turn off showing temple ordinances, most of the items shown to just members do disappear. The two exceptions are not even in widgets. They are in the righthand column and are the access to free websites section and the Help Others section. As soon as those vanish as well, then the page is ready for the public.

I like the new home page especially since it does not have the long list of "new" content and only a box to see them. l especially like the links to the recently viewed and FamilySearch Labs. This helps with the work I am doing. I will probably have more comments when I use the new page several times today. Thanks.

Thanks, @Gordon Collett. I do frequently turn the temple setting off, but generally it isn't a problem because it isn't terribly obvious. This new page is kind of in-your-face with the temple (which I love for members), so it means that I will need to turn it off every time if I am going to teach people with any reference to the main page. No biggie. Just takes more of my time. 😐️

@jerroleensorensen1 and @Gordon Collett and @James Tanner - Just a quick follow-up - there is an option as of the Dec 16th release to opt out (Exit Preview in the upper right-hand corner) of the new Home page for a period of time to the old home page.
