The new home page promotional text mentions the SEARCH ALL RECORDS widget...
…but it's not on the page. Is this an error?

The old home page, which we were still getting use to was fine. If something's not broke, then don't fix it.

I didn't see the promotional text, but I do see a widget that one usually finds on an individuals person page that allows you to search in Ancestry, etc. When you mentioned the promotional text mentioning Search All Records wide were you referring to FamilySearch records or were you talking about the Ancestry, MyHeritage, etc? On the individual page, the link to Search FamilySearch Records is available, but doesn't appear in the widget below. Will this option be added?

I refer to the "early rollout" signed-in home page available to me and I suppose some quantity of Church members. This new layout appeared today with the banner:

Search All Collections widget
By simply typing in some basic information about one of your ancestors into the search widget you can quickly and easily see if he or she can be found in historical records, the Family Tree, or Memories.

It would be really cool if the widget was on the signed-in home page, but it is not there on this early release version of the new and improved page.

I agree @ronpratt. You beat me to the punch. I was going to make a comment along these lines. There is always the "Search" tab of the website with its 7 subsections, but I think a Search All Collections widget (or maybe Search All Records) would be awesome to have on the new homepage. The web programmers are probably still finishing it before it is fully released to the general public. I hope they do include such a widget.
