Ottenbach ZH - baptism - 1700 - Hug - Heinrich: father?

In the GedCom-online data (I am aware of) one finds for Hans Hug and Elsbetha Berli always a wrong marriage date (1698 instead of 1701) - obviously someone entered this incorrect date and many people just copied without checking.

The marriage 1698 was Jogel (Jacob) Hug and Lisabeth Berli.

On 12.02.1700 a Heinrich Hug was born - attributed to Hans - but I assume that Jacob was his father.

Kent - could you, please, check this and post the page?

https://community.familysearch.org/en/profile/WSeelentag There is a baptismal entry for Heinrich Hug listed as 12.02.1700 on FS Trees, however when I went to the Ottenbach baptisms there is only a listing for:

1700 Heinrich Hug baptism 11 Feb father Jageli Hug, mother Lisenbeth Berd page 270. Here it is:

I don't think this Heinrich is in my tree.

Thank you for the copy - which confirms my suspicion: he is not a son of Hans Hug, but Jacob Hug, also "Schmids" and almost for sure Hans' brother born 1672.

We had discussed him before - remember? You also had him listed as Hans' son on your blog - likley just copied from one of these Gedcom databases.

https://community.familysearch.org/en/profile/WSeelentag Who are the parents in this entry? FS has nothing on who they are. KG

The connection between Hans and Jacob is the "Schmids", indicating a close relationship. I have found some info on geneanet: "tostini" is usually fairly reliable.

https://community.familysearch.org/en/profile/WSeelentag What a great idea!! We danced around this topic for quite a while. This pedigree puts the entire matter to rest and clarifies the relationships. Sometimes looking at FS just ends up in confusion because so many people change relationships without documentation. I added this to
