Confusion differentiating between CET and FST
Reading some of the posts it seems others are having the same issue. From a usability stand point, there is literally no difference visually between my trees and the FamilySearch Tree.
Would it not make more sense to make the links above the line FST specific options, and the items below the line CET specific?

@aprilkiskis Thank you for feedback and desire to help improve this project. We will be tracking this enhancement as RSTI-1871.

@Robert Kehrer the problem with using the same model as other websites is that the other websites only have one type of tree. Here on FamilySearch, we now have three: FamilySearch Tree, Family Group Trees and now the CETs. While the name of the group is great, it is difficult to keep track of the different types of trees, especially when they could and likely do contain duplicate profiles.

The CET idea is so wonderful and needed. I love the idea of differentiating what tree we are on. Maybe a different colored background or bright banner or something to visually distinguish the trees?

@C.Hales The engineering team has been discussing a way to differentiate between the trees, so you can know immediately which tree you are working with. Thank you for your patience and feedback.

@mynameistk I offer this just to make sure it's not overlooked
Here are two screenshots of my Source Box after navigating there using Sources Tab [Add Source…].
The top one is from Family Tree, George W Jones. The bottom one from my CET, George W Jones
Some sort of differentiation in this case I think would also be useful.
I think I already commented on the Source Box and how things can get confusing when working with multiple trees at the same time

@Mark McKenzie_1 The engineers are actively working on a way to differentiate the trees. Thank you for offering your additional feedback. It is very helpful.

I cannot figure out how to look at the original Familysearch. It seems like CETs is on everyone's individual data or pedigrees etc. I used Ancestral Quest to create the gedcom I uploaded.

@AudreyAndrus1 Thank you for testing early access CET and joining the Community. Please look at the top left of your page under the FamilySearch logo. The name of your CET should be displayed in bold with a dropdown arrow. On the dropdown box, select "FamilySearch Tree".

Okay, I did select Familysearch Tree on the drop down box. I am still confused because on the 2nd line beginning with Familysearch Tree, at the end it says CETs, so I am wondering if that means I am in the CETs tree or the original tree.

I do see now that the individuals have different id @#'s in each of those trees. I checked one person in my private tree, my Father-in-law, and he did not have sources attached that were attached in the Familysearch Tree. Is this to be expected?

I looked at my father, Charles Franklin Connelly, In the Familysearch Tree he has 8 sources and 92 memories. In the CETs tree he has 17 sources and no memories. Confushion!

@AudreyAndrus1 As you have found your Father in the FamilyTree is treated as a completely different person than the individual in your CET. Same for your Father-in-Law. Each has their own PID, Sources, Memories. etc etc. The edit privileges are what makes the two different as you have total control over your Father's profile in your CET. I can view it, but I can't make any input unless I have been so designated by you the CET 'manager'. The FamilyTree profile is open to all contributors for edits/additions.
For the moment, to 'align' the two profiles, you will need to manually move items between the two.
The Dropdown you mention is how to 'switch' between your CETs and the FamilyTree
Hope that helps with the confusion.

@AudreyAndrus1
Let me expand upon Mark McKenzie_1's "for the moment" observation.
In the near future (likely w/in several months) a new Tree2Tree person hinting feature will be deployed. Users will be alerted to high confidence person matches across trees. You will be able to align the matched person, and surrounding family with the corresponding person in the other tree. You will be able to evaluate all the concessionary and evidentiary data to determine if "these people are those people". You will then be able to copy data, sources and people from one tree to the other.1 -
@AudreyAndrus1 That tree dropdown box displays all of the trees you have in FamilySearch. The big global FamilySearch Family Tree is listed at the top. Then, all of the Family Group Trees (if any) you might belong to are listed next. At the bottom, all of the CET's (if any) you belong to are listed. This enables you to switch between trees easily. Each person in each tree has their own unique PID (number). The sources attached to your CET during the initial upload would correspond to the sources in your 3d party software used to created the GEDCOM file. We appreciate your feedback. By pointing out your perceptions, we are able to better understand how each user interacts with the CET's and we can see where clarification is needed. Thank you,
