Research in the Philippines, The Palacio Family
My great grandfather's family came from Mauban. His father's name was Leoncio Palacio y Aman. He had a total of eight children from two marriages, my great grandfather being the second child from the second marriage. We do not have any information past Leoncio's father.

Hello! Good day. I just joined this group and saw your post. My grandfather was a Palacio, but we are from Cebu and not Mauban. His full name was Abraham Palacio Espiritu.

you will need to read up on the Claveria decree of 1849 to understand why there seems to be a wall on information on or before 1850. it may also explain a little bit why there are same last names in other Philippine provinces. here is a good read:
