Hello,

I would appreciate some help reading the last name of this page on the right side above 1594.

2 Sept 1593.

Adelheidt Ab Egg , Cunradt Ab Egg's legitimate daughter, and then there is a word after??

I haven't been able to find her birth record, though I have searched twice. Found all other siblings.

Thank you

The word you are looking for is 'single', which means unmarried.

For her birth record, it is best to wait for WSeelentag. The place Meilen is in his area of expertise. 😁

"I haven't been able to find her birth record, though I have searched twice. Found all other siblings."

Difficult to say a lot without being able to view the film.

Have you got the parents' marriage? What where the baptismal dates for the siblings you have found?

Hello, Yes I have the parents marriage date. 15 July 1576 - Meilen, ZH -Cunrat Ab Egg to Elssbeth Eglÿ. I have that record. Cunrat is my 12th great gandfather. Unfortunately the records don't go back any farther. So I cannot find his baptismal record.

Elssbeth was his second wife, of which Adelheidt is from. The other baptismal dates for the children are:

1577, 1579, 1580, 1582, 1587, 1589. I looked through these years for baptismal record twice. No luck, just her death date 1593.

Thank you for clarifying the word single- now I see that it was ledig.

How do you know that Addelheid was from his second wife - not the first one: Verena Leemann (m. Meilen 04.07.1568)? Her mother's name is not mentioned in her death notice - so which other source proves that Elisabeth Egli is her mother?

That is very true. I cannot assume that. The first wife is Verena Leeman-also known as Freni.😊

I will look more into this again.

    Thank you.

So you should check baptsimal records 1568 through 1577 for Adelheid.

Note that EDB (my link) always uses standardised spellings to simplify searches. Verena could (in some records) be Vreni, Vreneli, Freni, … even worse Veronika with Veronica, Vronegg, Fronegg, Vroneck, Froneck, Vroneg - even Vroni (may, depending on handwriting, even not discernible from Vreni) and a few more.
