I have a birth date of 1836 in Germany and died 6/5/1872 Brooklyn, NY death cert # 5632.
That is all the info I have.

Do you have any background at all? Wife's name? Knowing how you came to be looking into him may help with better searches, such as knowing his FAN, i.e. friends, neighbors and associates.

Yes, I did look at death cert.
His wife's first name may have been Karney. Per his death cert he was 36 so born 1836.
He may have had a daughter Lena (Christina) who married a Joseph Heinlein in NY.

@IMA777 Have you entered what you have into FamilySearch? If so, what is the PID #? I also notice that he was buried in the Lutheran Cemetery. Lutheran church records might be worth a look.
