Could we please add Eliz and other variations on Elizabeth to the nickname list?
Liz, Lizzie, Liza, Betty are a few that come to mind.

Eliz. Berrer, "New Jersey Births and Christenings, 1660-1980" has a first name of Eliz, which is different from Elizabeth.

The given name of my 2nd great grandmother, Catherine Molloy Donnelly, is often shortened on the old records, probably to save precious ink and paper. Could we please work on the variants/nicknames for Catherine? See L8PR-LMP

Do you prefer keeping a single nickname list or do you want each instance found in a new thread? If you want a single list, could it be pinned to make it easier to find?
Looking at my 2nd GGF this morning, Patrick Hughes. Some records, especially in Ireland, list his name as Patt, while some US census records have abbreviated it to Patk. See L8P5-Y94Thanks.
