Confusion

I'm not really sure how this is supposed to help.

I was told by familysearch to add my brother before I invite him, but now he doesn't show up in my familytree and I've probably created another identity for an already existing person.

I don't get it, I thought If I added a living person in my family to my tree, that they would show in my tree....

    Check which tree you are in in the upper-left-hand corner of the screen. The highlighted tree in the drop down tells you which tree you are in.

    Make sure that you added your brother to your Family Group Tree, not the FamilySearch Tree. The FamilySearch Tree is your private list of living individuals connected to the deceased one-world-tree known as FamilySearch Family Tree. If you add him in the FamilySearch Tree, you will not be able to invite him into your Family Group & its connected tree.
