Question on gender of a name in Croatia Records
I am trying to validate the gender of the name "Michielle" in Croatia in 1815-1816. Attached are images of the birth and death records for Michielle Brubgnak with the name underlined in red. I also noted the url for the images below.
I found that "Michiele" with one "l" could be a male name. I am wondering if this is a spelling issue or the name of a female. My leaning is to a female name. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

In the first baptism of 1816, the father is Michielle. It's not much of a sample, but I didn't see any mothers with this name on the page.
Given the lack of a feminine form of Michael in Hungarian, and the apparent lack of one in Croatian (per Behind The Name), I'm leaning toward "masculine" -- although why they used this particular form of it is a mystery to me.

Thanks for your help! I hadn't noted that father's name that you pointed out. Today, I looked back in time through the baptismal images and found another child in 1806 with the name Michielle and in those records it is noted that he is a male child. Thanks again!
