    Ulrich, thank you but not what I was hoping for. It looked like that to me- the name and age but if the father is the same Johan Månsson then I have a lot more digging through records to do. I really don't want to be a bothersome community user so will do my best to not ask questions too often.

    Hi @Deniese Drake

    I feel like I need to help out with this. Ulrich Neitzel is such an excellent resource for this community that I really don't want to offend him, but I think he made a mistake about the age of Peter.

    I am sure the age in the death record is 1 1/4 years old rather than 14. The age certainly looks like 14, but the reason I even thought to look deeper into this is that the death record says he is a "lilla son = little son". This is a phrase that, in my experience, always refers to an infant.

    So looking at the birth records for late 1764 and early 1765, there is a son named Peter whose parents are Johannes Månsson and Elin Stephansdotter from Wästra Hällasjö Mellang(aard). That is the same place listed in the death record.

    The family is here in the Household Examination records: https://sok.riksarkivet.se/bildvisning/C0023951_00154#?c=&m=&s=&cv=153&xywh=37%2C2137%2C2767%2C1435.

    Oddly, there is a second Household Examination record for this parish and time period, and the same family ls here in that record: https://sok.riksarkivet.se/bildvisning/C0023952_00177#?c=&m=&s=&cv=176&xywh=293%2C265%2C3321%2C1721.

    Anyway, I hope this helps.

    ps. Don't worry about asking too many questions! That is the reason the community exists.

    Sorry, I forgot the link for the birth record. It is here: https://sok.riksarkivet.se/bildvisning/C0023981_00198#?c=&m=&s=&cv=197&xywh=3071%2C2205%2C2496%2C1580.

    @Deniese Drake

    I fully agree with @Norm Baker's analysis. It also explains that the place name I read as "Gallaß" is actually "Hällasjö".
