This set https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3Q9M-CS89-5736-8?view=index&action=view has documents from the municipality of Popayán, in the departmento del Cauca ("Notaría Primera de Popayán, Cauca, Colombia").
However,
1) it has been wrongly labeled as coming from departamento del "Valle del Cauca" -- a different location.
2) Apparently, records have been assigned a place of "Valle del Cauca, Colombia" for both birth and death, by default. Please consider giving "Cauca, Colombia" to death by default (and leave the birth place blank).

Hi Bulfinch, this is very good info. In this particular case, "Valle del Cauca, Colombia" is a standard place already. However I have another case in mind were creating a new place can help.
