Hello all, i am looking for the birth and death years of my 5th great grandfather. His name was jose antonio medrano born around 1778. According to his marriage record. His spouse was faustina castañeda and his parents isidoro medrano and josefa torres. He lived in san luis potosi mexico. All help is greatly appreciated.

Update: I just found out that by 1857 he passed away when one of his daughters remarried in 1857 it is mentioned that he and his wife were both deceased so my best chance would be to look from 1850 and onward.

I looked on Ancestry for you and noted that all but one tree said his birthdate was in 1785 not 1778. None of them had a death date. Sure hope you find the information you seek. There are lots of records on the Wiki--

Yes i know that others have 1785 for him but my question would be why? I also have an ancestry tree.

Since you have an Ancestry account, I would send a message to them and ask them why they have 1785. Where is their source? And I would ask more than one. PaulaAnn
