Help finding my 6th G Grandmother from Wigtownshire
I have started researching my 6th G Gran Elizabeth Miscally born 1740 in Wigtownshire Scotland . I know she goes a long way back but hey! I would not be here without her .. All I know is that her Fathers name was John Miscally and Eliz Married into a affluent Huguenot Family , the De Rouffignacs from France . The Scots records do not go back to 1740s so I am stuck at a brick wall as far as research goes . So I was wondering if some kind soul could help me track her down ?. Possibly by any records of her Father John and Mother Jean ?.Thank you for reading this .

Do you have any other information: What her birthdate or marriage date were and the name of her husband? That would be helpful moving forward.

Hello Shannon and thanks for your interest in my query/look up . Firstly Elizabeth was born in 1740 in Portpatrick Wigtown Scotland and her Husband was a William De Rouffignac b 1729 . They where Married on 27 th July 1761 in Stranraer Scotland . So there you have it . If you can explore any Scottish records for Her I would be grateful . I cannot find anything on Scotlands People site. Thanks . Wendy
