    Johann Georg Gieß appears to be the cook (chef) of the local nobleman (whoever that is). Also some of the witnesses have positions at the court (stewart, court tailor, trumpeter).

    As for the German: it's my native language; I have more trouble finding the English equivalents. 😅

    Wow-these have quite a variety of witnesses. Does this father have some "importance" in the Greifenstein castle? A much liked person? If so I would think his death record might have recorded a bit more detail.
