I am looking for additional help translating the birth record for Brita Stina on October 2, 1848 (bottom entry on left page). There is more there than a traditional entry. I sincerely appreciate any help you can offer. Thank You!

    @Leah Whipple

    This is what I can extract:

    No. 44. [name:] Brita Stina, [born:] 2 Oct 1848, [baptized:] 4 Oct

    Mother: Malin Anna Ersdotter in Östensjö(?) No. 10, 23 years

    Father of the child: nailsmith Isaac Vestling, Ofors. Witnesses to the acknowledgement of paternity: P. Söderlund, A.S. Söderlund.

    Sponsors: Jon. Stenberg Ofors(?) No.9 and wife Anna Vestling; Petter Dahlquist, smith, and maid Christin Matsdotter from Ofors manor

    Remark: Anna Ersdotter was readmitted to the church (kyrktagen) on 26 November according to Vestlings confession(?)

    Comment: For the rite of churching (kyrktagning) see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Churching_of_women

    I am not fully sure about the place names. It would help if you could name the parish from which this record comes.

    This is absolutely incredible! Thank you SO SO much for your help!

    The source for the record is Sweden, Kopparberg Church...604-1900; index 1628-1860 Ore församling C Födelse- och dopböcker 4, 1844-1857.

    Do you know what the references to the no. 9 and no. 10 mean?

    I so appreciate the time you have taken to help me!

    @Leah Whipple

    The numbers indicate probably the house number (address).

    From the identification of the parish I now would interpret the place names as Östansjö and probably Dfors which is an abbreviation for Dalfors, see map below. Note that there is a manor (herrgård) at Dalfors: https://de.foursquare.com/v/dalfors-herrg%C3%A5rd/4d80ee37208a5481bceb7d67
