Rebecca, what browser and operating system are you using? The engineers are reading all of these threads and will work on a fix once they know what you are using that is not working.

Tom Huber said: Yeah, it is the popup blocker that is preventing the Ancestry link from working. For some reason, it is set up differently than the other two sites and goes directly to the search routine in Ancestry. The other two sites display a message first:

    The behavior is somewhat odd.

Once the message is displayed, it is not displayed again for that link. I disabled the pop-up blocker for FamilySearch, so the initial problem (noted in this message) went away.

I'm with Juli on the use of popups. They should be avoided where possible, especially after the system opens the other site the first time. There is some code involved with the new interface that needs tweaking to overcome this problem, whether a popup blocker is used or not.

I went to Ancestry and the dates, etc are in blue which means I cant read the results. Ive had this happen a few times before but maybe a year ago.

Ive changed my password and also my browser but neither helped alleviate the problem.

To add to the above remark: It says I am a registered guest.
