While we agree that this would be helpful, the problem is that making a check for possible duplicates for a single person is already a very expensive operation. Performing the check for everyone in the pedigree would be prohibitively expensive, and would also significantly slow down every view of a pedigree.

This is generally the reasoning involved whenever there is a mismatch between various views in the application. There are likewise some pedigree-specific hints that we calculate only when in a pedigree view and not on the person page, for the exact same reason. Sorry we can't make this happen (yet), but we appreciate you sharing your concerns.
