Researching Wesleyan Methodist Records in Ontario

I don't know if these records are available. I am not sure what I am doing wrong but can't seem to find them. I am looking for the birth of "Robert John Roberton" b. September 19, 1837 or 1838. Most sources I have seen show he was born in Ontario and parents were born in Scotland. I have looked through everything I can possibly find in FamilySearch.

    Robert Robertson seems to be a fairly common name. If you haven't already checking some of the Censuses for Ontario might be helpful. See links below.
