search for unknown family in Italy

I have an Italian ancestor who went to Brazil in 1896. The Brazilian immigration service has records of her with the Albanese family. However, the records of most of her children were made as if their parents were unknown. Only one record contains the names Ignes and Vicenzo, as her parents.

This ancestor of mine was called Maria Lucia or Maria Luzia (this must be due to moving to another country) and she used the surname Apolinari.

The thing is, she wasn't adopted by the Albanese since she didn't use their last name. But I can't find the last name Apolinari anywhere in Italy.

Maria Lucia Apolinari's record in the family search is K4LQ-7RX in case anyone wants to look and suggest some direction to go.

Thanks

I looked at the sources attached to Maria Lucia Apolinari in FamilySearch. I suggest that you do a DNA test through AncestryDNA, and also upload your results to MyHeritage. Perhaps you will get matches to her side of the family. You can sort them using the Leed's Method.

I did a dna test from another company but they provide the raw data.

How is this placed on another platform? I have the raw data but I don't understand how it works.

Another doubt: what is leed's method? what am i going to rank?

If you have the raw data you can "upload DNA data" to MyHeritage under the DNA tab. If you are a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints you can get free access to MyHeritage. I recommend MyHeritage because it is based out of Israel and, at least for me, provides more European matches than AncestryDNA.

You can do a Google Search on "Leeds Method." It helps you to be able to sort your DNA matches by grandparent. I'm not sure how many generations back Maria Lucia Apolinari is to you, but you may find some matches.

In FamilySearch I did a "Search" for "Apolinari" from Italy and received several matches in Parma, Italy and other locations. I also found other spellings of the name, such as Apolloni, Apollonio, Apollonia, Apollinare, etc.

I came back here just to say to you: Don't give up!

I assumed Maria Lucia hadn't been adopted. Today I found out that her adoption was right after she was abandoned, with 1 or 2 days to live.

I found the birth record (which I had already looked for a lot) and I also got the list of passengers from the immigration ship to Brazil.

I feel like I'm getting closer.
