Please FIX the Headers!!!
As a software engineer, I know it should only take a few hours to write a program to scan all the header strings to remove ALL commas and dashes from SIGNATURE fields in the databases. Clearly, these were NEVER in the original images and were inserted by computer programmer unfamiliar with the format of a signature.
Also, my guess is the the random crapola inserted in the E blocks is due to a failure to initialize strings to null before starting to process a header.
I've done 1200 headers, but I spend 90% of my time fixing garbage unnecessarily introduced by the computer programmers. I'm not doing anymore until this is fixed.
PS: I would have used the FEEDBACK tab on the main page (https://www.familysearch.org/getinvolved/1950) if it worked. Would greatly appreciate it if someone could submit this to the feedback channel. Thanks in advance...

@VW_via_England Thank you for your very thoughtful comments, they have been noted. We are interested to know why you think that the Feedback tab does not work. We receive many suggestions with that function and they go directly to the Engineers.

It sounds like @VW_via_England is referring to the Community Feedback help button at the bottom of the main Census page which leads him here not the Vertical Feedback button on the left side of the screen (see screenshots after repost) which sends a message to the engineers about issues. Note: This is the first time I have even seen the vertical button. All the others are at the top right! No wonder people are having trouble finding it. Will have to post Feedback about the Feedback button 😜

There is probably also some confusion around which Feedback button you choose. The Feedback buttons located at the bottom of most FamilySearch websites do direct you to the community. I'm sure you knew that.
However, the feedback buttons found in other locations, like in the 1950 census tools do go directly to the engineers. As Janell said, the engineers set them up to get feedback directly.
To answer your question about whether feedback from the community gets to the engineers, the answer is yes. The engineers get feedback provided in the community in a multitude of ways. We are actively working on improving this for the engineers to better organize the feedback and make it easier for them to act on.

Click on the Vertical Feedback button and a What do you think of this? screen opens. Click on one of the faces, and a comment box will open below the faces for you to enter your feedback. Click Submit.

It turns out the very common uBLOCK ORIGIN browser plugin was somehow disabling the left side feedback button (See red arrow below). It is possibly caused by an interaction with other plugins, but in my case, just disabling that one and reloading the web page (https://www.familysearch.org/getinvolved/1950) makes it work.

Glad you figured out the issue with your computer. Seems the more advanced the technology and more "extras" we add on, the more possibilities there are to wade through to get to the root of any problems.
