What do I index for the last name when just a horizontal line was indicated?
Do I just put in the surname, or do I leave the "-" in that spot?

Please type in the surname - https://www.familysearch.org/en/help/helpcenter/article/reviewing-hyphens

I think the general instructions for this are unclear.
When doing "name review", most of the time the surname is just a large line indicating it is the same as the one above. Most of the time the long line isn't even recognized by the computer, and there is no "surname" field to review. On occasion, the line is recognized as a hyphen.
I see several options
- I could mark the hyphen as not a name.
- I could change the hyphen to the previous surname, but then what about all the ones that weren't recognized at all and had no name to review?
- I could mark the hyphen as correct and let it be corrected when the family is reviewed.
I would appreciate some clarification, also.

I see that mark hyphen as "match" is the correct response.
