Computer transcription off a row

I ran into the computer transcription being a row off as well. When I got to the bottom of the page the last row could not be transcribed. Although all 30 rows had data, only 29 rows could be transcribed. The box for updating or accepting the value on the row had the top of the box being on the bottom of row "A" and the bottom of the box being on the top of row "B" (e.g., if I was on the 10th row of input/edit boxes the box was half on row 10 and half on row 11).

Mike,
I'm not sure what to do on that and I didn't see it addressed in the FAQs. Is there another level transcriber that this issue can go to? I have noticed this on Ancestry.com as well. That, and when it comes to yearbooks the wrong picture with the correct name. Very frustrating.

@Mike Roarty @QueenOscotts Any chance you grabbed a screenshot of what you are seeing? If you see it again, please post a screenshot for me. 😊

Sam Sulser,
If I run across it again, I will post. Basically what it is, is the blue highlight is one line off on the entire page. Example: If the first line is "Sanders Harry", that name is not highlighted. The highlight is on the second line, but the transcription is for "Sanders Harry". The entire page is one line off.

I am currently reviewing names on Indiana, Grant Co., Franklin, Sheet Number 79, and ran into the highlighted area on the wrong line. This time the highlighted area seemed to start drifting off the further down the page I went. The series of Screen Shots are attached. The highlight starting drifting further up the page, but was totally confusing after J Eldon (screen shot #1). The next name Mildred L is where it was really messed up. Mildred L comes up twice. The first Mildred L (screen shot #2) doesn't highlight the "dash" but the second one does (screen shot #3). Screen shot #4 is Mildred L again. Screen Shot #5 highlights a "dash", but it should be "Stout". I can report this as a "Transcription Error" I guess...
Janell, I did not see a "Feedback" button on the screen. There is a "Transcription Error" button.

Feedback is in the upper right as a hot link.

Hi @QueenOscotts! thanks for the screenshot. That helps me understand what you are seeing. The blue box placement may be off the mark the bit and that is expected. We've been asked to go ahead and review what is in the white box. You can usually tell what they want reviewed based on what is in the white review box.
And Robert Givens provided a screenshot of where feedback is located. Hope this helps!

All too common, especially if the image was slightly askew when photographed.
Any way such images could be straightened and rescanned to fix?

Yes, those can be fixed as long as they are reported while being reviewed. It will be especially important for those to be reported in Family Review.

@Robert Givens this is what is at the top right of my screen:

@Sam Sulser I think I am understanding what you are saying, but in the example I posted the transcription had Mildred's name twice and completely missed the the line below. From what I remember the rest of the page was fine. I reported it as a transcription error.
Also, I do not see the feedback button at the top right. Here is what I have:
