How to delete a fictional person with "delete person unavailable"?

How can I delete a fictional person when it says "delete person unavailable"? A fictional person (GWF2-RSR) has been created due to a computer-indexed double obituary. This apparently led to someone combining two real people into a new fictional person.

Real people:

*Rita Cartiff Hertz LV96-P4M

*Georgia Frost Lunt KWZZ-P3Y.

Fictional person:

(Rita C. Hertz Georgia Frost Lunt GWF2-RSR)

Thanks!

One way to straighten out the record for the fictional person, is to merge that record with the real person, LV96-P4M, where much of the name, and the dates match. The system does not flag these two as duplicates, because the names don't match, so you would use the Merge by ID logic. To do that, copy the ID of the fictional person, GWF2-RSR, and then go to the person page for the real person, LV96-P4M, and scroll down, and click under tools in the right hand column, on Merge by ID. Paste in the copied ID and merge the two records.

Thank you! I merged, and tried to leave a note explaining what I did and why.

Good job. Please also leave a note on the record in the source list:

    https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/sources/LV96-P4M

You can also report the computer indexing error:

    https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:QKL6-J91J?from=lynx1UIV8&treeref=LV96-P4M

Look for the link "CLICK HERE TO REPORT IT"

These computer indexing mash-ups of multiple person's obituaries are a significant cause of confusion. I hope this one gets repaired because there are a lot of name on it, so it will be worked again and again.

Thanks! I did send an error report on the mashed-up obituary, and now I left a note on the source.
