Why is Asa Oliver's ordinance status not available? He is my great granduncle, born 24 July 1843, death 24 May 1925. (M48Z-3CJ

    @Elaine Tingey

    Elaine

    I am just another 'lowly' User/Patron ...

[ And, I happen to be a Member of the Church ... ]

    Just in passing ...

As I am directly "Related" ...

    Regarding, Asa M. OLIVER ( M48Z-3CJ ) ...

That is an easy one ...

Short Answer: BECAUSE, the ORIGINAL "Gender", was "Changed", from "Female", to "Male" ...

    ie. "ChangeLog": https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/changelog/M48Z-3CJ/sex

    As such ...

The situation/circumstance, regarding, this individual's/person's "Temple" Work, NEEDS to (ie. in fact, MUST) be INVESTIGATED by 'FamilySearch' "Support", to ensure, that the resulting "Temple" Work, that is applied, is for the CORRECT "Gender".

Generally, in the majority of cases, the "Temple' Work, has ALREADY been "Completed"; but, sometimes, following, a "Merge"/"Combine", the resulting "Temple" Work, MAY be for, the WRONG (current) "Gender".

Especially; as, in the case of, Asa M. OLIVER ( M48Z-3CJ ), following any Merges"/"Combines" ...

    https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/changelog/M48Z-3CJ/merges

    Hence ...

    Hopefully ...

A "Moderator" [ ie. 'FamilySearch' "Support" ], in this "Community.FamilySearch" Forum, will, find; and, take your post into the workings of 'FamilySearch' "Support", to help/assist you.

    [ Sooner, rather than later ... ]

I hope, that this may help/assist, somewhat.

    Brett
