In the year 1884 the 6th of August, at 11 before noon,before us , Ivo Van Merhaeghe civil servant and representative of the civil office of the town of Elsegem legal arrondissement of Oudenaerde (new spelling Oudenaarde), province Oost-Vlaanderen (province East -Flanders) did appear, read,..in effect of the legal decision of the college of Mayor and 'schepenen' in dato the first of January1882 did appear ; Bruno De Waele aged 55 profession,Kloefmaker(*) residing within this town,and the one to show us a child of the male gender,born yesterday at 17.30 pm in the house nr 36 at the side of the forest here,From him and Sofie Lagaisse, aged 37 housekeepster , his wife, residing with him, to which child he declares to give the name "Richard"

Given the above , i reviewed it again, specifically for the term "Boskant" which translates as side of the forest, indicating the edge of the forest,(if not indicating a locality); so two possible forest are candidates, either bos (forest)t'Ename or Volkegembos.But if i go to the page of these,like for forest t'Ename, there seems to be a map included on the webpage that also shows "Boskant" as an existing locality, and in view of this , i would suggest the idea that this location is the one spoken of--=> see map, and "Boskant" for the spot.

In the year eighteen hundred and eighty-four, on the sixth of August at eleven o'clock in the morning; We Ivo Van Merhaeghe, alderman, delegate civil servant of the municipality of Elsegem, judicial arrondissement Oudenaarde, province of East-Flanders have seen Bruno De Waele, fifty-five years old, clog, maker, within this municipality, who has shown us a child of the male sex, born yesterday at half past five o'clock in the afternoon in the house number thirty-six at the Boskant here, of him testifying and of Sophie Lagaisse, thirty-seven years old, housekeeper, his wife living with him, to which child he declared to give the first name of Richard; the said presentation and declaration was made in the presence of Leo Maroy, forty-eight years old, innkeeper, and August Van Herzeele, forty-two years old, patrolman, both also living in this municipality, witnesses summoned by the person appearing, who after reading out the text signed this deed with us and the person appearing.
