Years ago missionaries came to Douglas County and digitized records in our courthouse. We would like to index those records. Is there a way to access those?
Hello Shannon, thank you for your question.
We have all felt that we would like to index records that are of particular interest to us but unfortunately that is not possible. This is what a Knowledge Article on this subject states:
FamilySearch cannot accept requests to index-specific collections.
As we continue to grow, we are eager to provide as many records on the Internet as possible. However, the process for retrieving, indexing, and publishing records can be complicated, and it may take us some time to provide certain records. Some reasons for slower processing include:
We are as excited as you are to have more records available. We thank you for your patience as we work toward that goal.

What are the upcoming indexing projects?
Sorry this isn't what you wanted to hear but hopefully you will find something with a personal connection if you keep checking back
In RootTech this year they talked about how they are working to make indexing more personal and directed to the indexers own family. Don't be surprised to see some great things coming! (We do not know what those might be but the talks were quite exciting and promising!)
I am not connected with FamilySearch
Perhaps at Rootstech the talk was about about the new "Review Names" which is available for the United States, and you can then select by State, and then by Name if you wish.
