Click the edit button next to the entry where you see them and edit the entry to remove them.
This most often comes up with names in the Vitals section. Here is the edit button for that:
You can do that yourself ...
'Gordon', has pictorially show you HOW to do so, with that "Image" ...
For the individual/person concerned ...
▬ Go, to the "Vitals" Section
▬ GO, to the "Name" Field
▬ Select, that "Blue" Word of "Edit".
▬ Remove, the Parentheses "()"
... [ And, most likely, ANYTHING included inside ... if necessary ... ]
Here is a "Knowledge Article", in 'FamilySearch':
Just click on edit, erase the parentheses, and click save.
Generally, since that name in those parentheses is usually an aka name or nickname, you should erase everything between them and move that name to the other information section.

When an invalid character is used in one or more of the name fields, the information cannot be saved. A warning message displays describing the problem. If the message displays in red, the invalid characters must be removed before you can continue—even if those characters were present prior to editing.

I am unable to do a person's temple work because they have Parentheses around their name. I want to know how to remove them.
