Record Number 12

Addo Masotti: On the side margin something is written that has to do with 1872 so

I know it's not a marriage. Further down is the death date. Is there anything in that

margin that changes the record?

thanks and Merry Christmas

Fred, in these Italian Civil Records, the only margin notes that we take into consideration are for birth records in which parents are identified there. For example, you may see a note that the child's birth was legitimized by the later marriage of the parents. We would not index the marriage event but we would index the name of the mother and/or father for the child if the original document had not named one or both of them. This happens most often in the case of an underage mother.
