I was able to find her birth mother through DNA and I found the family that her birth father came from. However, I have not been able to document the first name of the birth father. I'm looking for some guidance in my search. My mother was born 1 December 1918 , in Davidson, Tennessee Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

It looks like you have identified the birth father's family, but not which of the sons. Narrowing down the list can be difficult. Assuming there were multiple sons, I suggest using the process of elimination.

First build a family group sheet for his parents. They are likely listed with children in FamilySearch. Check the sources to see if any living children are not listed.

Eliminate any sons that would be too young in early 1918.

Check WWI draft registration cards and other sources to eliminate sons that did not live near the birth mother, were married, etc.

Dig into information on remaining sons to see which ones might still be the father. Try to find their obituaries and lists of their children. Try to contact the children to do DNA testing.
