I am trying to understand what is written to the side of the entries for Nils Torstenson. Sources are Västra Vram (L) AI:3 (1811-1847) Image 126 / Page 134 and Västra Vram (L) AI:3 (1811-1847) Image 111 / Page 117. The one word sure looks like Spiddig to me, but I can't come up with anything close to that in the Swedish Historical Dictionary Database. I would have guessed that the H.S. before his name in the second image was Hustru Son, but that does not make sense as the birth record that seems to match shows him as Oakta - born to a Bengta Nilsdotter. I am hoping that the words in the margin give an indication of his relationship to the family (some earlier household examinations simply list his as a Son.)

Thanks for your help!

I believe the two words are "Skatt(e)fri" =tax-free and "Sjuklig"= sickly.
