Follow-up to an earlier question: Divorced Couples

My great grandmother was married and divorced before being sealed to her second husband. Currently, different family members take turns reserving her temple work to prevent others from sealing her to her first husband. Is there a way to indicate that sealing is unnecessary and prevent others from preforming it (other than continuously reserving it so others can't?)

    I am just another 'lowly' User/Patron ...

[ And, I happen to be a Member of the Church ... ]

    Short Answer: 'No'.

As per that "Knowledge Article", in 'FamilySearch', that was provided in you previous earlier 'Question':

    Locking your own ordinances

    https://community.familysearch.org/en/discussion/108712/locking-your-own-ordinances

    https://community.familysearch.org/en/discussion/108712/locking-your-own-ordinances

    Resupplying that "Knowledge Article":

Requesting that ordinances not be performed

    https://www.familysearch.org/en/help/helpcenter/article/requesting-that-ordinances-not-be-performed

Where it states, among other things:

    Quote

    ------------------

FamilySearch has no provision to prevent completion of temple ordinances.

Ordinances that are performed for the dead are effective only if the deceased person chooses to accept them

    ------------------

    As an aside ...

You and your Family are not alone ...

MANY; Many; many, of us have been there ... asked the 'Question' ... got the same 'Answer' ...

    And ...

Have had, to 'bite the bullet'; and, do the "Temple" Work, rather than leaving it 'hanging' for a 'stranger' ...

[ Someone will MISS "Reserving" it; and, it will be 'snatched up', through the likes of "OrdinancesReady" ... ]

[ It is bound to happen, 'later down the track' ... better, it be done by Family, who 'Know' the situation ... ]

    I hope this helps.

    Brett
