Death certificate

I found an index card of a deceased family member. I tried searching for it, but an not sure I am accessing correctly

the death occurred in April 1912, Wilmington De.

how are the certificates organize?

    If you are talking about how the details show up on the certificate, it often depends on the location (state, or country), and how they report the death. Some have only the persons name and death date. Some have the death date near the top, and other down farther. Some include a lot of information.

    You might wish to check in the county or state records.
