The new sources page is causing problems.

As you can see in the attached photos. The information is over laying the ADD buttons in the left hand column.

Please pass this along to a programmer.

Thanks for your help.

In Firefox menu try Help> Troubleshoot mode please - let me know if this helps.

    @Fred Meese

    Fred

I do not use an 'Apple' Computer (or, "Mobile" device) ...

So, I cannot be of much help/assistance there ...

    But ...

    That Said ...

I have 'seen', a recent post or two, in this Forum, from other Users/Patrons, about having problems/issues with, using the "Browser" of 'Mozilla' "FireFox" (the latest; and, recent versions), on 'Apple' computer/devices.

All I can suggest, is that you 'try' another "Browser", to 'see' the the same problem/issue exists.

Below it looks like the record is already attached to Mary Klaphake:

     LX96-TJZ

You would need to Detach it - if it is currently incorrectly attached - before you could attach it to someone else.

    I hope this helps.

I was trying to attach a new source. The new source shows the Burial date and the Residence at the Time of Death. Neither of these were attached to this record or any other record.

Here is another example of the problem. I have included a screenshot before any action was taken, and a shot after I indicate that I wanted to update death date and the burial place. The source does not show it is attached to any other record.

    Here is another one.

This is a census record. Notice it the before shot that the place is duplicated on both new items. Again I have included a before and a pre-attachment screenshot. I have not completed the attachment so you can look up the records and see the problem for yourself.

Interesting. What device, operating system, network connection, and Browser are you using?

I was unable to duplicate this Source Attaching issue on:

Windows 10 laptop, DSL WiFi, Chrome 94.0.4606 ...

First I would probably try logging out of FamilySearch, reboot the device and see if that helps. If not you may want to clear Familysearch cookies at:

    https://www.familysearch.org/cookies

    I hope this helps.

    @Fred Meese

    Fred

    I am just another 'lowly' User/Patron ...

Of late, I am NOT having such a problem/issue, while Attaching a "Sources" ...

With, "Family Tree", of 'FamilySearch' ...

I principally use, the latest versions, of the "Bowser" of 'Google' "Chrome", with 'Microsoft' "Windows 10" ...

( and, often, 'Mozilla' "FireFox"; and, less often; but, sometimes, 'Mocrosoft' "Edge ... ]

I have NOT been experiencing what appears in your "Screenshots".

Question: WHAT, "Browser"; and, "Operating System" are you using?

[ And, are they the latest versions of such? ]

Just curious, if that may be the problem/issue that you are experiencing.

    Please advised.

I am having problems with Source Linker too. The symptoms are different but the problem is the same; the page isn't loading completely so it doesn't draw correctly and the buttons don't work. Refreshing the page helps, but to attach a family it may be necessary to refresh the page once for each person in the family. I have reported this previously.

My problem was solved with a computer reset and using a different browser (Chrome).

I would be interesting to see if the reset also resolved the issue in Firefox. It appears from at least one other user that a reset did resolve their issue in Firefox as well. It makes me wonder if it is a memory issue - but I would think clearing startup cache in Firefox menu> Help> More troubleshooting information would take care of that if it were the case. Oh well, plenty of options and things to try - and learn ...
