Merging the same individual
In my family tree I have Thomas Rowland born 1808 in UK died 1880 in Oswego Illinois.
My Thomas is LZJL-QH2
Another researcher in the US has built a tree which also feature the same Thomas Rowland
His Thomas is 3SFB-QYJ.
We have both tried to merge these two trees to link them to the same Thomas Rowland but without success.
How can we do this please?

The ID 3SFB-QYJ is not a record located in Family Tree. Where are you seeing that ID?
Also, keep in mind that Family Tree is one single tree, with many branches. Thus, there is no "my" tree or "his" tree.
If you can provide a little more information about the Thomas Rowland 3SFB-QYJ, we can investigate further.

Yes, the PID 3SFB-QYJ is not correct. It does not come up as a possible duplicate either.
Looking at LZJL-QH2, I don't see a connection between the 1841 UK census record for Thomas Rowland and the 1880 US census record. On the basis of the attached sources, these are not the same person, they just have the same name.
The 1831 christening record appears to relate to an entirely different family, and the 1833 marriage record likewise may relate to another couple. Note the different shires.

I see. Ben Baker's (? the second) Thomas Rowland is in Genealogies not in Family Tree.
So, @Alan Rowland, these are not duplicates and there is nothing to merge.

Anyway, to move forward I suggest completing the profiles of the children in Illinois. FamilySearch has many indexed historical records for this family that have not been attached to Family Tree.
Do the children of Thomas and Ann first, then Thomas and Ann in the US, then finally assess whether the UK records belong to the same family.
