Färgelanda Parish, 1901-1920 survey; farm: Hällan Sodrä, page 269. Erik Erlandsson is crossed off. There are remarks about his wife, Elin Gabrielsdotter, (K67J-JYF) that are very important to me! She is my direct; he is a second marriage. She came to the U. S., he stayed in Sweden and I believe they divorced. Any other remarks about the people under him would be helpful, too!

    Hi @Joellen McAlister ,

I am so sorry we did not see this earlier.

    The comment means:

Wife Elin Gabrielsdotter and then is crossed out "residing in America" (meaning the pastor initially thought she was in America but then was corrected). It continues - The marriage was dissolved by the grace of royal majesty (meaning with approval from the government) decided on 29 April 1904; divorce papers were issued by the Diocese with rights for the divorced parties to enter into another legal marriage, dated 9 June 1904.

Thank you, Geoff! Elin Gabrielsdotter left for America in 1897 with her daughter, Fredrika Erlandsdotter. I'm glad to know what the remarks had to say!
