reviewing Liberia census

I have just gotten courageous enough to try to review. I have done just a few. The instructions say to include zeros in the age field. https://www.familysearch.org/indexing/batch/a4ff64b3-4612-4e4a-814e-d2786031958f

On this image there is a child age 4. When I started to review there was a 4 in the field which is the correct age but has no zero. There was the same issue on the previous image I reviewed.

The question is, is the system dropping the zeros when sending the batches to be reviewed?

If I add the zero it shows up as a correction.....

Hi Larry. Good work so far!

You are correct to add the zero and it will show up as a correction. The only thing that will not show up as a correction is adding or removing punctuation, or spaces, or changing something from upper to lower case or vice versa.

The system would not be dropping the zeros. The indexers probably did not read the field help or look at the examples so they indexed the age incorrectly. (It is an unusual request and alot of projects would tell you not to index the preceding zero.) This is why we have to read every project instruction and every field help. Sometimes these change when a new part of an old project comes out! You are doing great.
