Save passports

When somebody dies, the family should be able to send the passport to the Family History Library for safekeeping. After the passport has been expired at least ten years and the person has been dead at least ten years, scan all the pages and make them available, with the precious details not easily obtainable elsewhere.

    agreed

but no need "to send the Family History Library" anything

this can be done now by each individual user / family member - via FS Memories

FamilySearch Memories - allows for people around the world to submit such items - probably now in the billions of items - Im not sure.
