if someone indicates no children it can not be undone -

if a child is added there will always be a red error no matter what you do - even if the no children is deleted

try this with anyone - this is a programming error

people often click this in error and can not be fixed

    Hello @ERIC MEYER_1

I just did a test in beta.familysearch.org. I added the No Children fact in Other Information. The data problem error (Children Mismatch) displayed because of the children already added. I then deleted the custom fact, eliminating the data problem warning. Next, I added a test child with no problem.

Do you have an example you could point us to so that we can check it out?

This article explains how to add the No Children fact and how to delete it:

There are 2 options for the no children fact. One is for a person and is located under Other Information.

Users may also indicate a couple had no children, even if either or both had children in another relationship. This is viewed and managed in the couple relationship facts.
