Update on Portals- . Our Portals are currently being updated and was wondering if there was a date that might be finished, or an update regarding that.

Your "Family History Centre" is not alone ...
The GENERIC 'Portal', of/at "Family History Centres", ALL around the World; especially, for access to the (FREE) "Premium" Websites; and/or, "Restricted" Materials (eg. Films) is TEMPORARY Unavailability, which started on about 2 June 2021, for possibly up to x90 Days, for ESSENTIAL Planned (system-wide) Maintenance (and, updates.
We are almost ⅔ of the way through ... there is still a ways to go ...
As far as I am aware, there has been no recent advice or update ...
As an aside ...
I believe, that this is a "Copy", of an "E-mail", that was 'sent out', to certain, responsible, "Leaders".
I know that this does not help; but, I hope this gives you some perspective.

We have not heard anything regarding the completion of the updates to the portal. To get the latest up to date info check the portal often.
Why isn't the above notice found in the actual Portal when we bring it up in the Family History Center?
Also, why isn't there a notice about not being able to see digital copies of films that say they can be seen at a Family History Center?
Many patrons come here only to find that they cannot access the images even though at home they have a notice that they can see them here on our computers in the Center.
If it were clearly stated that these things are unavailable due to maintainance, it would save a lot of frustration.

This where a provate message will appear. As a director, keep checking the FHC email regularly because Center Consultants (directors) will be notified when the maintenance is finished.
The portal and premium websites are not working.
