searches receiving inconsistant results with same parameters
Hello, I do not know if this is a new idea or a suggestion. I took a snip of search parameters I used in Family Search Eliis Search page and found my ancester, but unfortunately, when I used those same parameters, after triple checking I did, I then received zero results on subsequent searches for same person using exact same search parameters. So my idea is to have consistant results.
Additionally the first time when that ancestor came up and I clicked the 'details,' it took me to her social security page, that page gave me more information such as death date to confirm it was her. I suggest we learn how the link between the Ellis Island document and the social security is made. Such as, is that a guess or were there other official information that made that link. Thank you. Although I'm sure I've had the same experience, it would be good if you could replicate this issue and post the screenshots her. Difficult, I know, but without illustrating you used identical search criteria and were returned with different results, you'll probably be told there must have been just the slightest difference in your inputs when making the search.
To test if there might be a bug/flaw in the program, FamilySearch employees (or ordinary users) must have some basis on which they might attempt to replicate your findings.

The easiest way to let someone recreate your exact search on Family Tree is to copy the full URL of your results page. This includes all the parameters you entered exactly as you entered them. That is even better than a screen shot and trying to get all the fields on.
Instead of posting this screen shot and having someone try to figure out how I got here:
Clicking on the link will recreate the search.
If you do that for the two different searches you did, it will be easy for the Search team to evaluate what is going on.
