Subject: WHAT is going on in this "Community.FamilySearch" Forum!!!???
Friday, 9 July 2021 from about 20:30 Hours ( ie. 8:30 pm ) ... My Local 'Time' (+10 UTC)
Trying to access ...
Home
My Feeds
Groups
Ideas ... get to 'see' the list of "Topics"; but, ALL "Topics" are BLANK
The ONLY thing that seems to be working is "Q and A" Section ...
As such ...
As there is NO ability to submit an "Idea" (ie. 'Feedback'), this is the ONLY avenue available ...
Please advise.
'Thank You' in advance.
Submitted for your immediate, information; attention; and, consideration.
Kind Regards.
MAY THE LORD BLESS YOU IN THIS IMPORTANT WORK
Yours Faithfully,
Brett

Please accept our apologies for this problem. The issue has been reported and we will have the system fully functioning as soon as possible. If you have previously saved a url link to a group or page, that should still work for now.
We hope you will be able to see the whole site again really soon

'Thank You' for responding.
As an aside ...
Fortunately, it is NOT the 'Groups' that particularly concerns me, that much.
What concerns me the most, is the unavailability, of accessing, the "Topics", in the "Ideas" (ie. 'Feedback') Section.
Lets hope, that the "Programmers" (ie. "Engineers"), get the Problem/Issue, addressed/fixed, ASAP.
Again, 'Thank You'.
Brett
ps: Question without notice ...
What ACTUALLY happens when one 'Answers', either, 'Yes'; or, 'No', to the that ... Did this answer the question?
▬ Does that automatically make Your 'Answer' an "Accepted Answer"?
▬ Does that automatically "Close" this 'Question' of mine?
IF, not; THEN, what else?
.

Hi Brett, thank you for your comments. In answer to your question, Clicking on YES to "Does this answer your question" results in the ACCEPTED ANSWER status being added to your question.
Cases are normally closed when they are sent to the Escalation team so that work isn't duplicated. The Escalation team would then contact you privately to discuss the matter further or give you as answer that is too sensitive to answer in a public forum.
If you wish to close a thread it would bump the question down the list.

'Thank You' for that.
That references what the 'Yes' does.
But, what happens, when the 'No' is selected?
That is the real question.
And ...
As an aside ...
This "Community.FamilySearch" Forum, is NO LONGER, the "Community.FamilySearch" Forum.
ie. Users/Patrons, HELPING, Users/Patrons
The name of this Forum should NOW really be "Changed" to the, 'FamilySearch' "Support" Forum.
Just saying.

Thank you for your comments. We are certainly experiencing some teething issues but will get there and are excited by the great level of support we are receiving from users.
"Community" is the recognised name for groups such as this. We have adopted an existing formula that users may recognise from other sites. If you would like to suggest your idea for a name change, perhaps you could post it in the Ideas section in the left hand menu? That area is monitored by our engineers and programme developers
This site is monitored by employees, volunteers and missionaries that previously operated the helplines responding to chats calls and emails, as well as private users. This forum is constantly evolving and we hope to provide a more one on one service where possible at some point.
When "no" is selected, REJECTED ANSWER appears against the response.
We really appreciate the great support that you are offering to many users Brett, you are very quick and accurate in your responses. Due to time zones and where we are located you often beat us to it! Thank you!

'Thank You' for that.
As an aside ...
As far as I can tell ...
That "Rejected" 'Badge', DOES NOT appear, against an 'Answer'/"Comment', in a (ie. the ORIGINAL) post.
The ONLY place that I have 'seen' that "Rejected" 'Badge' is, while using the "Search" feature/facility/function of this Forum; and, in a "List" of the "Results" of a "Search".
In fact, I specifically raised this matter in the "Ideas" (ie. 'Feedback') Section of this Forum.
"Ideas" Section
Category = FamilySearch Community
Home > Ideas > FamilySearch Community
WHAT is this "Rejected" ('Badge'/'Label'/whatever) against SOME "Answers" in "Q and A"?
Just for your information.
