my greatgrand mother was born at sea according to the 1900 US census for baltimore Md. Her parents were German I only have a first name of Walbara no maiden name but married name Hogg spouse Richard how do i proceed
I found Richard and Walbara Hogg in the 1900 U.S. Census at Baltimore, Maryland. However, I don't see that you have added their names to Family Tree. I would suggest that you connect these great grandparents to your lineage in the Tree. Enter just the first name for Walbara, her birth date and for the place, you can select "Oceans." You will then want to search the records in FamilySearch for sources, including, of course, the 1900 census and attach them to the family members. In Ancestry.com another user has added an alternate name for Walbara: Barbara W. The reason given is not at all specific. You should try to trace the Hogg family through the censuses and find any other records that might document the family. Would a marriage record for one of the children include their mother's first and maiden name? I hope this gives you an idea of how to start.
Thank you ever so much for the help
